Our 3.6 oz Resealable Pouch comes in Celtic Sea Salt, Classic, Salt-Chocolate and our "Best Sellers Mix" that includes Celtic Sea Salt, Classic, Salt-Chocolate, Butterscotch, Green Apple, Salted Mocha and Salted Butterscotch. Each pouch contains nine (9) individually wrapped pieces.

Our goal is to make the very best caramel possible, using the purest, finest ingredients available. We have never added preservatives, artificial colors or artificial flavors to our caramel. When some of our customers expressed concerns regarding corn syrup we tested other syrups and found tapioca syrup made an even yummier caramel, we transitioned immediately.

CARAMEL

Non-GMO Brown Sugar, Non-GMO Tapioca Syrup, rbST-Free* Heavy Cream, rbST-Free* Butter, (Chocolate and Salted Mocha Caramel contain Unsweetened Chocolate), Fructose, Milk, Sugar, Natural Flavor**, (All Salt Caramel contain Sea Salt), (Espresso and Salted Mocha Caramel contain Coffee), (Chipotle Caramel contains Chipotle), Salt.

*According to the FDA, no significant difference has been shown between milk derived from rbST treated and non-rbST treated cows.
**In alignment with FDA regulations, we use the term “natural flavor” to refer to all flavors from natural sources including pure vanilla extract which is in every variety of caramel we make.

SHELF LIFE

Our caramel candy is exquisite for the first month and a half, and still very good for the next several months. Fresher caramel is better. Caramel past the best if used by date might not taste as fresh or be as silky smooth. To extend freshness, refrigerate or freeze our caramel in tightly closed bag.

ALLERGENS

Milk: All varieties of Béquet Gourmet Caramel contain milk.

All varieties are made in a facility that does NOT process any types of nuts, and are Certified Gluten Free.

Corn: In 2012, we switched from Corn Syrup to Tapioca Syrup. The fructose currently used in our product is derived from corn. We have been working diligently for numerous years at trying to replace this fructose. Despite experiments with replacement sugars, we have been unable to reproduce our smooth, creamy texture. We are continuing to actively work on this. Corn Fructose represents less than 5% of our caramel.

I am not usually a caramel fan as they are normally too chewy and I don't want to risk my dental work. These however are nice and soft, just melt in your mouth. We tried the Celtic Sea Salt, the Salt-Chocolate and the Classic. Still prefer the classic. Can't go wrong. These might be next years Christmas gifts for friends and family.

First I would like to say that I love the caramels. They are the best I have ever tasted. However, the delivery itself was sorely lacking. The temperatures in Arkansas have been 90-100 for the past two weeks. The package was left outside my garage, against the garage door in the sun. I know the delivery is not your responsibility, but during this time of year some form of insulation should have been used to protect the candy. That said, the candy was very mushy and could not be unwrapped until I refrigerated it for some time. I retrieved the package as soon as I received notification of delivery.

We have been getting Bequet caramels for many years. My wife loves them so much that she called me while driving to a business meeting in Billings from Eastern WA to have me drive into Bozeman to pick up caramel. Your caramels are delicious! My whole family loves them. I would suggest a fix to the wrappers though. There were a few of the caramels that were not wrapped correctly and caramel was oozing out of the wrappers. There were also some that seemed to have the wrapper cut in the middle of the caramel, and came off in two pieces where the caramel was oozing out the center of the candy. I did discard the ones that weren’t wrapped correctly with the caramel coming out of the wrapper! Thanks for the delicious caramels!

Would have loved it if it weren't for the fructose. Cane sugar seems to me would have been sufficiently sweet on its own. Also, on the ingredient list, would like to know the source of the fructose. Still in search of the perfect chocolate-covered caramel.
